An original Harold Lane oil painting "Tidbinbilla Country" (ACT) Beautifully framed - 860 x 620 Excellent Condition Born in Sydney, NSW in 1925, Harold Lane spent his childhood in the Queensland bush. Lane studied at the East Sydney Technical College and began his formal art training under F J Martyn-Roberts in Brisbane. He was a painter of stylised landscapes and held several successful one-man exhibitions and won several awards including the RNA prize (twice.) He was commissioned to paint a mural 12' x 4'6" by the Commonwealth Government for the Attorney General in the Law Courts Building in Darwin. Works are represented in the National Collection, Canberra, the Queensland Art Gallery, regional galleries in Toowoomba and Rockhampton, and private collections around Australia, the USA and Europe.
